Job Description

Our client, an esteemed Essex based Housing Association is seeking a motivated Lettings Team Leader to provide leadership to their established lettings on boarding team and ensure a great service to their customers and prospective clients.Position: Lettings Team LeaderLocation: Essex/East LondonContract type: Fixed Term Contract (FTC)Duration: 6 MonthsSalary: £30,000 - £33,500 per annumResponsibilities:

  • Management of a team of 5 staff including an Administrator and 4 Lettings Officers who manage patches within the 10,000+ property portfolio
  • Motivate to ensure the team are hitting and exceeding targets while also ensuring that service levels are maintained and improved to minimise void property numbers
  • Provide development and training including 1-2-1s with team, to develop their skills and improve the overall service to customers
  • Act as the expert in the lettings area for the organisation to provide advice to colleagues in other areas of the business on the voids and lettings process
  • Deal effectively with escalated complaints and queries and also attend hearings and tribunalsDesired Experience
  • 1+ years’ experience of line management of a team within a housing association or local authority setting
  • Expert knowledge in the lettings and voids process with good communication skills in all areas
