Job Description

Our client is a well established MAN-DAF and Iveco Specialists who operate over 10 depots which are part of a larger organisation that cover the whole of the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced HGV mechanic to operate out of the Essex Depot.The role will consiste of fault finding, repair, MOT inspection and preperation.The successful candidate must have:

  • A proven track record in vehicle maintenance and repair management
  • NVQ level 2 in mechanical engineering
  • Industry-specific training
  • Category C+E driving licence (desired)

  • Ability to use your own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Industry-specific technical training
  • Excellent people skills.
Roles and responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair fleet vehicles to meet with current HGV and safety legislation
  • Completion of all work allocated must meet the required levels of customer and company, up-time, service, safety and DVSA compliance
  • Ensure all compliance documents and job cards relating to any allocated work are completed to DVSA and company standards
Take responsibility for colleagues, visitors and self at all times by ensuring the working environment is clean, tidy, and health and safety compliant at all times.Benefits
