Role: Grounds Maintenance ManagerLocation: EssexSalary: £30-35K + carOur client is looking to appoint a Grounds Maintenance Manager to support the Contracts Development Manager. This is a new position that is being created due to the exponential growth of the company.The Role:This role is primarily managing the ground works on existing and new development sites. This is a demanding role. It requires a hands-on person with extensive Ground Works experience, so you can understand what good looks like and show the team what is expected, if required. You must have above ground and below ground experience e.g. fixing broken drains, water pipes, re-Tarmacing, general housekeeping and maintenance of large-scale residential development sites.This role also demands excellent communication skills as you will you will oversee the 3rd party contractors who are responsible for developing new sites - keeping them to timelines, ensuring quality standards are met etc. and liaise with multiple external contractors such as the utilities companies.You will support the Contract Development Manager whose primary role is maintenance manager and be able to "hold the fort" in their absence. A likely working pattern may involve both office-based time and time "on the road", visiting/managing new or existing sites.The Candidate:
