Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Family Paralegal to join a L500 recognised department based in Essex.The Firm Our client is an established Legal 500 recognised firm based in Essex and East London who have been operating for over 40 years.This growing firm are renowned for the high-quality advice they provide across a wide range of legal services.Their established Family Department are now seeking an eager and passionate Family Paralegal to join their expanding team in Essex.The opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a Family Paralegal who is seeking to develop their skill set and further their career within a Legal 500 recognised Family Department.This role will see you assisting one of the Partners within the Family Department with their legal aid and privately funded family and children caseload.There is also the prospect for you to take on your own caseload, which makes this the perfect opportunity for a Family Paralegal who is looking to become a fee earner themselves.Duties will include:

  • Case administration and document management
  • Collecting information and documentation from clients
  • Contacting/researching/liaising with experts
  • Conducting research into family law and procedures
  • Preparing draft correspondence
  • Preparing bundles
  • Proof reading, copy checking, indexing, archiving and filing
  • Typing of own correspondence and bills
Requirements:
  • Family Paralegal with a minimum of 6 months Family Law experience
  • Legal Aid experience is preferred but not essential
  • Have a genuine interest and passion in Family Law
