Engineering Technician North East London / EssexCommutable from Chigwell, Enfield, Cheshunt, Harlow, Brentwood, Bromford, Epping, Ilford£54,00012hr Rotating Days & Nights Shift RotaOur client is a leading manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to growth within the business, they are moving to a 24/7 operation and require additional engineers to join their team. Looking for multi-skilled engineers that are either electrical or mechanically biased Role & Responsibilities:*Support and maintain all production and ancillary equipment *Ensure optimum production performance, minimising downtime and ensuring reliability *Working on industrial manufacturing/production machinery, automation & controls, site services, associated plant equipment, robotics and packaging machinery*Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repair, installation & development *Review & analyse data and use problem solving tools to identify areas of improvement *Ensure the maintenance system is constantly up to date*Promote a lean and continuous improvement working culture*Support the introduction of new equipment / systems - training, installation & commissioningKnowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must be a multi-skilled engineer (either electrical or mechanical biased)*Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding, diagnostics and repair skills*Must have worked in an automated manufacturing industry *Not fazed by industrial manufacturing systems & machinery *Need to be used to fast-paced, pressure intense manufacturing environments *Worked with BMS systems & CMMS (Agility) systems*Qualified to HNC level or equivalent *Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship*PLC - electrical fault-finding skills*If electrically biased must have 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regs.*Electrically biased - PLC electrical fault finding & modifications, automation & control systems, electrical isolation/safety & wiring experience *Mechanically Biased - Dealt with rollers, bearings, shafts, oil changes, heavy mechanical equipment, able to look at asset care management, repair things before they break / are worn*Knowledge of continuous improvements & lean manufacturing (Six Sigma, 5S, SMED, Kaizen)*Team player but able to think on own initiative when neededShifts & Benefits Package:*Shift:-12-Hour Rotating Days & Nights Shift Rota*Salary:- £54,000 + Regular Overtime*Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 24 Shift Holidays, Sick Pay, Annual Pay Reviews Job Reference No: CG18010 / 534Suitable candidates should apply immediately by calling our Managing Consultant for this vacancy - Chris Gumm on or by sending your CV directly to him at We regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications.
