We are looking for an experienced Electronics/Electrical Engineer to perform a hands-on role which will include conducting modification and validation testing of products with a focus on tight project demands. The role will mainly be an office based one, but with some customer support site visits where you will be representing the company. This is a full time permanent role and will require an ONC Electrical/Electronic engineering, City & Guilds Electrical, or equivalent qualification. If you have the relevant requirements for this role, please read on .......Responsibilities will include : -Providing Technical and Project SupportConducting modification of products, carry out fault-diagnosis etcConducting validation testing of products and documenting validation results.Engineer production processesTransfer of new products into Production/QCRaise project issues in a prompt manner to the Technical Manager.Client site visits and generate site visit reports and undertake follow-on actions.Assist in quality/statistical analysis of product issues.Undertake diagnosis and repair of product returns.Customer support - product support and on-site system rectificationGeneral departmental technical supportEssential Skills / Experience: -Proven and recent hands-on experience in electrical/electronic engineering experienceGeneral knowledge of electrical components and electrical principlesElectrical wiring (schematics and practical experience)Engineering documentation systems and controlComputer drawing packages - CAD, Solidworks, Coreldraw, etc.ONC Electrical/Electronic engineering, City & Guilds Electrical, or equivalentHighly desirable skills/experience:-Energy monitoring product experience highly desirable, or ability to adopt knowledge quicklyCommunication network experience highly desirable - RS485, Modbus, MBus, BacnetIET 18th Edition desirableQuality associate qualification/training desirableAdditional Information :-Working Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, 1 hour lunch / 37.5 hours per weekOccasionally required to work outside of normal working hours due to site visitsSalary dependant upon experience but from £27,000 per annum / negotiable20 days holidays, increasing with length of servicePension with company contributionKeywords : Product Engineer ; Electrical ; Electronic ; ONC ; Test ; Schematics ; Fault finding ; Technical ; EngineeringCordant People are an Equal Opportunities EmployerCordant Group is an equal opportunities employer Required skills
