Job Description

Driver Technician - Mobility Aids ServiceLocation: EssexContract: PermanentHours:35 Hrs - Monday To FridaySalary: £17,464 Per Annum Would you like to use your driving skills to make a difference to peoples livesWe have a Driver Technician position available within our Mobility Aids Service (MAS) based in our Harlow Hub. The role of the Driver Technician is to deliver, assemble, demonstrate and collect equipment to and from both service users homes and establishments, ensuring standards of service as specified by the company are met and where possible exceeded. This role requiresthe delivery and collection of equipment across a wide span of the greater Essex area, with journeys anywhere up to 3 hours.The Driver Technicians will work closely with the Contract Supervisor / Team leader to contribute to the smooth operation of our equipment distribution service. They will provide support to other members of the department ensuring that the operation complieswith, and where possible, exceeds customer expectations, contractual arrangements, service levels and overall company requirements whilst delivering target profitability. Success in this role is also measured via operational Key Performance Indicators.This role might be for you if

  • Youre computer literate with ability to learn how to operate an online stock management system.
  • Youre a confident and safe driver with van driving experience and knowledge of East Essex and surrounding areas.
  • You have driving experience as a multi-drop driver and dealing with the general public on a daily basis.
  • Youre a people person, able to work as part of a team supporting members of the public.
  • Cleaning, servicing and moving equipment.
  • You have good DIY skills and are physically able to lift and carry loads (within the Health and safety Manual Handling criteria).
  • Full driving licence holder with a driving licence which allows you to operate a manual transmission vehicle (please note that, due to vehicle insurance policy requirements, applicants must be aged 21 or over and must have held their licence for a minimumof two full years).
