Job Description

Data Architect Agency Reference Number: J66369Venn Group is currently working with an NHS ICB, who are recruiting for a Data Architect to join their dynamic and fast paced team.Rate: £240.95 (PAYE) to £269.37 (Umbrella) per day Location: To be confirmedHours: MondayFriday, 37.5 hours per weekDuration: To be confirmed Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for decisions made during the course of duties, seeking guidance and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Participate in developing the future state data architecture standards, guidelines and principles
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions
  • Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test and release features
  • Define standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modelling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching and delivering all data
  • Define the vision, strategy and principles for data management
  • Optimise performance of queries and ELT/ETL procedures
  • Develop and maintain a formal description of the data and data structures including the data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries and technical metadata
  • Management of a small team
  • Responsible for one or more budgets and/or income streams of delivery
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers on data model, its maintenance and optimisation as well as end-to-end data driven integration strategy
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience as a Data Architect
  • NHS/Healthcare experience
  • Significant experience with Microsoft BI solutions (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Experience of developing ETL process
