A Chartered Building Surveyor is heavily involved in all aspects of property and construction, providing the strategic link between the client and contractors. Highly skilled in providing the best professional advice on all things property and construction related, including potential risks, liabilities, conditions & defects, and the best course to remediation.Experience is everything and we represent an independent Building Consultancy who value expertise, knowledge and understanding. They are experts in their field. A mix of Chartered Surveyors and Project Managers capable of delivering a first-class and diverse range of services. They now need a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Essex and take the lead of a thriving Building Surveying division.Based on the outskirts of London, the company is an accredited independent practice, multi disciplined and growing. Established for over 30 years, they offer a comprehensive range of services. Collectively they are experts in; Building Consultancy, Surveying and Project Management. As a result, they attract clients from the Public, Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Retail sectors.Their Building Surveying division consists of Surveying and Project Management and Chartered Building Consultancy, which specialises in third party site inspection services. Each division respectively sustains a high level of delivering successful projects to an exceptional standard.Workload varies but includes a full range of project and professional duties including:- Fire Risk Assessment - Building surveying consultancy works (incl Specificions, Condition surveying, Maintenace programming, Dilapidations & party walls), - Fund monitoring, - Defect reports- Building surveying project works including preparing tender documents, and - Post Contract Administrator roles.Projects will vary in size, complexity and type but typically include Public Sector, corporate/office, residential, education and healthcare from £1m - £10mApplications are welcomed from competent Chartered Building Surveyors or Project Managers with a solid base of experience for surveying practices and/or multidisciplinary consultancies. You will be professionally qualified with a minimum of five years relevant post-qualification and the ability to lead a Building Surveying team.Immediate start is available, and you will quickly become a key person in a small office and look to take over the lead role from a exsting Associate who will be retiring. Starting salaries will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience but expected to be in the region of £45,000 - £55,000 with paid membership subscriptions and appropriate benefits packages.More importantly, you will be joining a growing business with a real team environment!
