About the role <p>Reporting to the People Partneryou will work with the General Manager and site management team as well as the wider Distribution PeopleTeam to drive forward the HR strategy, whilst providing a customer focused HR Service that meets the needs of the businessand People plan.</p> Role Responsibility <p>Influencing decisions on all aspect of employee relations, ensuring that the risk to the company is minimised and that all policies and procedures are observed</p> <p>Forge collaborative relationships with the Trade Unions to ensure a positive and constructiveworking relationship and support the site in any discussions/negations with Trade unions.</p> <p>Assist the operational KPIs through effective people management by identifying opportunities to improve service to the customer and the development of solutionsto drive continued business performance</p> <p>Providing the site with accurate weekly/period HR KPI reporting and headcount management</p> <p>Manage talent cycle, including identification of training needs, development of training solutions, coaching andcompletion of PDRs and individual development plans</p> <p>To work alongside site management teams to ensure consistent approach to performance management.</p> <p>Managing long term absence, occupational health referrals, medical reports, flexible working,maternity, paternity, shared parental leave etc.</p> <p>Co-ordinate and manage the on boarding process</p> <p>Provide people management advice that does not add additional cost in to the business through effective stakeholder management ensuring that all legalobligations are met.</p> <p>To support a culture of celebrationidentifying successes/achievements through a robust reward/recognition process that colleagues want.</p> <p>Support the health and wellbeing programmes by ensuring managers have the correctskills to support colleagues.</p> <p>Work with the wider HR team to provide network support where required</p> You will need <table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <ul> <li>Solid experience in Human Resources or related field including experience influencing senior management and critical stakeholders and exposure to Trade Unions</li> <li>Able to prioritise, plan and organise a varied workload,with accuracy in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>CIPD Qualified or working towards a professional qualification in People.</li> <li>Knowledge of Employment Law and ER process management including, negotiation skills, letter writing, tribunal management</li><li>Ability to identify training needs and develop a plan to address</li> </ul> <p></p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Whats in it for you <p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p> <ul> <li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discountevents up to three times a year.</li> <li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
