Job Description

Helpdesk Technician – Up to £25,000 – Erith – Business Manufacturing & SupplyOverview:Our client, a business manufacture and supplier are looking for a helpdesk technician to join their team based in Erith. As the helpdesk technician you will be playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their IT systems.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via various communication channels, including phone, email or in person.
  • Listen to end-users issues, diagnose problems, and guide them through troubleshooting steps to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist users in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware devices, software applications, and network-related issues.
  • Provide basic network support, including troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Provide remote assistance to users working off-site or in remote locations.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows10/11; MacOS and Linux an advantage), common software applications such as Microsoft 365, and hardware components.
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 in a corporate environment would be beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of networking: TCP/IP, subnets, DHCP, DNS.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
