Job Description

Sales Specialist - Jewson Civils ErithThe Branch Sales Specialist role is one of the most important roles within the Jewson Civils branch at Erith. Based within the store, you will be the face and voice of the branch and will maximise profitability through building successful working relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers delivering excellent customer service. Youll chat with customers throughout the day, both on the phone and in person, helping them find the materials they need for their projects and converting these in to orders.At Saint-Gobain people matter to us, and we try to show that every day. We offer a great opportunity for you to join us at the very start of this journey and help shape how we position our Civils brand for the UK construction industry.As a Sales Specialist with Jewson Civils, you will:

  • Work proactively across our sales/customer focused environment.
  • Develop market growth in chosen customer and product segments by driving proactive sales.
  • Support all Company Customer Service initiatives.
  • Maximising all customer interactions by upselling and cross selling relevant products
  • Realising full potential of all customer interactions and build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers, managing feedback accordingly
  • Ensure that your branch is the best provider of customer service locally and nationally as defined by our customer.
  • To be suitable for the Sales Specialist role, you will have:
  • Experience of working in an inbound sales role, with a curious and proactive approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Motivation to secure and increase sales orders
  • The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Proven experience in a proactive sales/customer focused environment.
  • Ability to work within your local team and across the wider teams nationally.
  • Ensure that your branch is the best provider of customer service locally and nationally as defined by our customer.
  • Knowledge of the industry preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient MS Office platforms.
  • Product Knowledge in Tools / Ironmongery would be an advantage
