As a Branch Sales Manager you will oversee the busy sales office and managing the sales team to ensure the development of customer accountswhilst delivering exceptional levels of service.This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of several key customer accounts, whilst developing a high-performing team to achieve the exciting growth plans in place for the branch.Youll be working for Jewson Civils in Erith, South East London; a busy and successful branch based in a prime location. Jewson Civils is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and UK leading provider of specialist civils, infrastructure & utility products and solutions.Is this role right for meFirst and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; for this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience

  • Clean driving license (essential)
  • Proven experience in managing/leading teams.
  • Proven experience in customer facing business.
  • Proven track record of financial/commercial success.
  • Proven experience in a proactive sales/customer focused environment.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work within a team locally and nationally.
  • Knowledge of the civils and utilities industry preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient MS Office package skills
The Branch Sales Manager purpose is to set high standards of customer experience and build successful working relationships with customers, staff and suppliers, to deliver sustainable profitable sales growth and gain market share within marketplace.In this role you will;
  • Management and planning of day to day Sales Team functions taking responsibility for problem solving and managing situations arising
  • Work to identify and action individual and team training needs.
  • Achievement and proactively drive through the team, the Key Performance Indicators to agreed standards, incorporating sales growth, sales and margin targets, customer base growth and customer spend targets, and customer service initiatives.
  • Build close and trusted working relationships with operational colleagues to ensure excellent levels of customer service and satisfaction are delivered to customers and in order to achieve companys goals
  • Work with the Area Sales Manager and Sales Director to define and implement Regional sales plans
  • Develop and manage branch customer portfolio
