Job Description

Full Time & Part Time positions availableAs a support worker you will become part of our friendly team supporting service users in their own homes in Epsom, Surrey. Accordia staff benefit from great career progression, sector-leading professional training and great job stability.We specialise in providing person-centred care for adults who suffer with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and autism to enable them to play a meaningful part within their community. You will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding care to the people we support. We are looking for motivated individuals who want a rewarding role as part of a service that makes a difference.Our flagship supported living service on Reigate Road is an 8 mins walk from Ewell East train station and we are looking to build a new team with a blank canvas to deliver exceptionally high-quality care. We are looking for support workers (part-time and full-time) at £9.72 per hour.*Please note we are located in Reigate Road, Epsom*Shift Patterns:6.30 -14.30 (8-hour shift)14.30 - 22.30 (8-hour shift)22:30 - 6:30 (8-hour shift) - for waking night positionsEssential:

  • Experience working with either people with challenging behaviour and mental health or people who have a criminal history in a care setting with mental health.
  • Experience with working with people with Autism and Learning Disabilities
  • People who have used restraint or would be comfortable being trained to use restraint
  • Can lone work with confidence and be part of a wider team
  • Strong values and person-centred approach
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts to meet the needs of the service
  • Individuals who are enthusiastic, resilient, energetic and proactive
  • Individuals who can go biking, fishing and engage in physical activity with the person they will be supporting
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of diabetes or worked with individuals with diabetes
  • Desirable:
  • Can evidence NVQ qualification in social care or Care Certificate
  • Have a valid driving licence
  • Live in Epsom or the surrounding area
  • Have a driving licence
  • Have a background in Positive Behaviour Support
