Job Description

Use your engineering degree in a lucrative, consultative sales career**Company**Established in the 1940s in Germany, this business designs and manufactures industrial cooling systems for SMEs with small server rooms through to global organisations with gigantic data centers. These systems are essential, to prevent IT systems from overheating and malfunctioning.The business has a global reach with customers in over 140 countries and production plants in USA, Europe and Asia - however is still family-owned.**The Role**Start date - ASAPLocation - SurreyPackage - £25-30K base salary, bonuses in year one, company car, laptop, mobile and generous pension.- Graduates are likely to start in SME sales: faster-paced, more volume of deals and less complex to start with.- Typical week would involve being out on customer sites for 3 days per week with 2 days in the office or working from home.- Will be given existing accounts of clients whose product life is coming towards and end so will be looking to sell replacement equipment and will be given guidance of target markets and clients to go and win business.- Will be selling to heads of IT, facilities managers, CTOs - depending on size of prospect customer.- A level of cold calling will be required on the office or work from home days in order to set up appointments to meet clients.- Travel; could be anywhere across the UK to meet customers and potentially some travel to mainland Europe (when safe to do so). There will be trips to the manufacturing site in Hamburg.- Training; combination of home-based and office-based training will last for a good 3-4 months at the beginning in order to help the successful graduate to build product knowledge and sales skills. Again there will be trips to Hamburg for training. The training isnt too rigid and will be based around the individual- Progression; 4 tier sales structure of sales engineer, senior sales engineer, regional sales manager, senior regional sales manager. Possibly other opportunities elsewhere such as in marketing or product development and it is perfectly plausible to relocate with the business.**Profile**- Driving license and must live within a 45 minute drive to Epsom.- Consultative. When on site they like their sales engineers to be more advisory in approach. - Preference for STEM degree.- No sales experience necessary but very welcome.- Preference for those who have worked in some sort of target based environment and certainly in customer-facing jobs.
