A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Junior Housing Assistant to join the housing department of one of Badenoch & Clarks leading Housing Association clients in Surrey. This role is ideal for somebody looking to develop a long term career in housing.You will receive excellent training and experience, working alongside the Customer Experience, Income and Neighbourhood Teams. Whilst learning the ropes of the customer facing departments, you will also have the opportunity to complete a Housing qualification.Based in Epsom, this is a full time permanent role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and you will be expected to provide a measurable high quality customer services function, delivering day to day housing services to customers and key stakeholders. Key aspects of this role include: * Helping to resolve enquiries within target times, whilst keeping customers informedof progress.* Assisting with the effective handling and resolution of all customer complaints.* Assisting the Income Team with monitoring and managing rent and service chargeaccounts.* Taking a proactive approach to tackling low level rent arrears by notifying residents as soon as possible, setting up and managing payment plans to address low level rent arrears.* Assisting the Neighbourhood Team with tenancy terminations, allocations, new lettings,transfers, and mutual exchanges.* Identifying anti-social behaviour and assisting the Tenancy Enforcement Officer inmanaging it.* Assisting with tenancy audit visits where necessary.* Maintaining accurate record keeping and assisting with any allocated projects.* Provide admin assistance to the three housing teams.* Attend meetings and training courses as required.Please note an excellent, evidenced customer care skills and a "people" focused approach to service delivery is required for this role. Candidates will ideally have some housing knowledge and a desire to develop a long term career in social housing.
