Tradewind Recruitment is working with a primary school in Enfield, which is seeking a SEN Assistant to join the team ASAP, until July 2021.The salary for this role will be £75-80 per day, depending on experience and this is a full-time role, term time only. About the School:This is an "outstanding" school and Tradewind has assisted them with staffing for many years. The school has children from a broad range of backgrounds with many home languages. There is a lovely atmosphere here, with a dedicated Headteacher and senior management team, who run a fantastic school. The school is a great focal point for the local community and aims to involve parents/carers in their childrens education whenever possible. These include events such as family dance nights, world food evenings, and a family reading club. The Role: The role will involve working as part of a small team with a focus on children with Autism (ASC), This is a mainstream school and the children work in class as much as possible, as well as working in the base. The pupils are mainly in key stage 2 and you may be given a couple of children who will be your focus. Experience of working with children with speech and language needs and an understanding of PECS and Makaton would be great, as the children are either non-verbal or developing their communication.
