Job Description

Key skills: Client or Contractor Data Centre Construction or management experience, Degree or similar in Project or Construction Management, Experience managing large scale enterprise projects with both localized and virtual teams. BICSI /RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation experience.Hybrid / Remote Working (depending on Location) With Ad-hoc European TravelThis role is Inside IR35My Client is a Global construction consultancy who are looking for a Programme Manager / Consultant who will be responsible for Integration and Technical Infrastructure at a dedicated Data Centre site. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders youwill have an excellent balance of Technical and programme / project management skills. The role requires the identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between CLIENT external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the physicalconstruction build. You will also be responsible for the handover process ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met.You will be responsible for but not limited to:Single POC for PM; responsible for co-ordination and reporting on the planning and execution of the Integration and Beneficial Use requirements.In co-operation with the end client Construction PM and Regional H&S Manager, Lead and champion end client Health and Safety standards planning on site.Responsible for management and reporting of the planning and execution status of the following scopes and deliverables:

  • Furniture Fixture and Fittings.
  • Audio Visual (AV).
  • Radio Over IP (ROIP).
  • Telecoms, internal and external facility and network.
  • Security, physical and electrical.
You will be integral in Client handover requirements.Identify, document and manage the construction phasing deliverables.Report Bi-weekly progress of the above through the respective Design, Procurement, Execution and Handover phases.Drive collaborative planning and pull planning exercises.Produce an Integration Execution Plan, at a minimum identifying the following:
  • Early Access (EA) milestones, requirements and deliverables, including handover and acceptance criteria.
  • Beneficial Use (BU) milestones, requirements and deliverables, including handover and acceptance criteria.
  • Logistics plan for the above, including:
  • Phased BU areas.
  • Identification of personnel and material delivery routes prior to TOC.
  • Phased Security and Access Control.
Chair and minute bi-weekly Integration meetings.Manage, and ensure compliance with the Telecom Material Procurement Process,Co-ordinate the Client snagging, handover and issue close out processes.Attend weekly design workgroup or workshops meetings inc: Civil Structural Architectural, Telecoms, Security and Cross Group Co-ordination.Facilitate, coach and aid in the scheduling of the installation and site on-boarding (H&S, Method Statements etc) of the following end client direct scopes:
  • Dark Fibre/Campus Fibre.
  • POTS lines. `
  • Out of Band circuits and modems.
Drive Health and Safety compliance with regulatory, site specific.Participate in the Change Management process.Manage and communicate site progress to internal stakeholders in respect to their scopes and interdependencies with each other and the construction schedule.Provide input regarding proposed project phasing changes or delays, which may affect the project committed deliverables and offer potential design solutions/phasing alternatives to mitigate same.Raise any Health and Safety, Quality, Schedule or Cost risks.Co-ordinate the collation of the required Project Closeout documentation.ComptenciesDegree in Project or Construction Management or similar experience10 + years experience in IT or construction related project management.Must have Client or Contractor side onsite Datacentre construction or management experience.Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.Experience managing large scale enterprise projects with both localized and virtual teams.RCDD or equivalent technical accreditation preferred.Must be able to work within a dynamic team of full-time employees and consultants.BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation experience.You must have excellent communication skills and excellent attention to detail is a must.Key skills: Client or Contractor Data Centre Construction or management experience, Degree or similar in Project or Construction Management, Experience managing large scale enterprise projects with both localized and virtual teams.
