Payroll Manager - Hospitality & Leisure - North London - Up to £65,000About the companyDetail2Recruitment has been retained by a premium global sporting brand with a successful business model centred around building a platform for long terms success. With businesses that encompass sport, hospitality, events, leisure, retail, and significant supportinfrastructure, our client is looking for a Payroll Manager to take ownership of all areas of Payroll, including the project management and implementation of a new integrated Payroll system.The organisation runs its own in-house Payroll, encompassing c. 1750 permanent and seasonal employees, as Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of multiple complex payrolls.The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing a small team and ensuring the management and processing of Payroll is met with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.Payroll Manager - The Rewards

Payroll Manager - Requirements
  • Ability to manage and develop a small Payroll team
  • Analytical and methodical with experience in patrol management and a deep knowledge of payroll regulation
  • Thinks ahead, generates ideas
  • Values & respects others, builds relationships, collaborates
  • Gets things done, delivers to high standards, takes responsibility
  • Confident and naturally organised, with a drive for efficiency
  • Incrediblydeveloped attention to detail

  • An aptitude for systems, processes, insight and analysis

  • A minimum of five years experience within an in-house (not out-sourced), complex payroll function
  • Experience with manual payroll calculations, Pllds and HMRC tax codes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Payroll Manager - Personal Attributes & Experience
  • To ensure the provision of an effective, accurate and timely payroll process
  • Calculation and preparation of all permanent and seasonal staff payrolls (bi-monthly)
  • Reviewing the various payrolls for different parts of the business
  • Supervision and training of one member of staff
  • All payroll administration including P60s, Pllds, National Statistics and Payment Class IA National Insurance
  • Posting monthly payroll journals
  • Performing the payroll year end reconciliations
  • Management of Auto-Enrolment Pension Scheme, liaising with the external companies and ensuring RTI compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and liaising with department heads as required
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations for payroll related accounts
  • Producing the Bank balances report at the beginning of each day
  • Manage payroll queries effectively with a high level of customer
  • Responsible for the administration of the company benefit schemes including salary sacrifice schemes
  • Implementing new processes and procedures to improve the payroll function
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing the payroll software (Ernie)
  • Provide an efficient and effective service to all staff throughout the company
