Brook Street is hiring for a client who is a forward-thinking company who supply a wide range of healthcare accessories to commercial and sector specific industries.We have a 6month fix contract as Management Accounts Assistant position to start immediately. The purpose of the role is supporting the Financial Controller and other Finance team members in all aspects of financial reporting, management accounts; compliance; tax; payroll; budgeting; and forecasting.Responsibilities:" To assist with the preparation and production of the monthly management accounts, forecasts, annual budgets and statutory year end accounts in the agreed format and in accordance with published timetables." Posting month end journals" Managing the reconciliation and control of balance sheet accounts " Overseeing the fixed asset register for three entities." To assist with the processing and monitoring of purchase ledger activities, including cost control and cost reviews." To assist with the stock ledger activities, including standard and actual cost reviews and stock takes." Accurately calculating stock provision on a monthly basis." Preparation and processing of all necessary tax and government submissions including payroll, VAT, corporation tax and business surveys." Providing support with the creation of monthly business packs " Collating and analysing data prior to producing KPI reports." Sending financial summaries out to branches and liaising as necessary in answering queries." To assist with the performance review of the business and other general matters as required" To communicate, recommend and participate in the resolution of any problems encountered within the preparation of the accounts, operational systems or areas of non-compliance." To assist with the satisfying the requirements of internal and external auditors.The ideal Candidate:" Will hold atleast 5 years experience within this role. " System experience : Sage Line 500, Oracle Hyperion, Blackline (Management Accounting and Reconciliation) and Microsoft Office Suit " Works well in a teamThis is a full-time position Monday-Friday with flexible remote working.
