Job Description

Steelwork DraughtsmanWe are recruiting a Steelwork Draughtsman/Detailer with experience using Tekla structures software to join a successful and growing steelwork business based nr Edmonton, who design, fabricate and erect both structural and architectural steelwork.Salary £40- £50k D.O.E.Steelwork Draughtsman duties include:

  • To read Engineer and Architect/layout drawings and produce 3D models in Tekla CAD software (structural and secondary/architectural metalwork).
  • Produce fabrication & GA drawings, material lists etc. from the 3D model.
  • Produce CAM data from model.
  • Produce all material, component, bolt lists etc.
  • Work on your own projects independently as well as part of a team as required.
  • Structural Draughtsman requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a steelwork Draughtsman is essential - minimum 3 years within a steelwork fabrictation business or similar engineering environement.
  • Experience using Tekla CAD software is much preferred, how Tekla training may be given to exceptional detailers who currently use other 3D detailing systems.
  • Experience working on structural and/or architectural metalwork required.
