Job Description

Role: Commercial AnalystSalary: £35 000 - £45 000 per annum depending on experience.Bonus: Discretionary up to 10%Benefits: Private Medical and 5% PensionLocation: WatfordEmployment type: Permanent with a hybrid set up (3 days per week (other 2 days WFH)We are recruiting a Commercial Analyst with experience in the Energy Sector. Commercial Analyst duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the analysis and supporting the development of strategic commercial propositions to sell Demand Response programmes to large energy consumers in the UK.
  • Supporting the development of market solutions in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
  • Building and developing strategic analysis of the target market and sectors and delivering propositions based on this analysis.
  • Delivering the output of market and customer analysis to the commercial team
  • Support development of Strategic Engagement Plans.
  • Ensure CRM system is fully updated and all information pertaining to sales leads and activity is entered at least weekly.
  • Perform market and competitor analysis
  • Identifying opportunities to create additional cross-offerings and synergies based on client /industry demand.
  • Identifying funding opportunities and completing the documentation to acquire it.
Experience required: Commercial Analyst - Energy Sector
  • Understanding of the Energy sector is very important as this will enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
  • A background in Energy Management, Demand Side Response (DSR), Renewables, EV, Utilities, energy efficiency are examples of areas that the client would be interested to consider.
  • Ability to engage in empowering communications.
  • As this is a Commercial Analyst role - experience in showcasing and demonstrating ways to gain a competitive advantage in gathering market knowledge and helping the sales team, close their deals.
  • Knowledge of CRM and database management
  • Confident use and demonstration of spread sheet interrogation and production of high-quality data sets and slide decks.
  • Ability to manage and forecast sales cycles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • High levels of integrity and self-reliance, demonstrating knowledge of industry best practices
  • Strategic thinker, with operational delivery capability
