Job Description

Job Title:Plant EngineerLocation:LeicesterPay rate:£18.00 plus overtime rate and Weekend rateShift:Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift, Day shiftType:Permanent, full-timeStart Date:ImmediatelyWe are hiring for a Fixed Plant Engineer in a recycling environment. This role will be pivotal to the operation as you will be ensuring that the production runs smoothly with any technical issues being dealt with promptly. You will be an important part ofthis team, helping provide the best possible solutions.Duties of a Fixed Plant Engineer:

  • Carry out scheduled, servicing and inspections to a high standard.
  • Reactive maintenance and problem-solving.
  • Fault diagnosis.
  • Welding and fabricating.
  • Attend internal and external training.
Skills and qualifications of a Fixed Plant Engineer:
  • Level 3 in Engineering or Equivalent (required).
  • UK Mechanical Maintenance: 3 years (required).
  • Your own tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify faults.
  • The ability to work within standard repair times.
  • Excellent working knowledge of mechanical machinery.
  • Good understanding of health and safety and electrics.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team with a flexible approach to work.
It would be beneficial to the Fixed Plant Engineer role if you also had:
  • Full UK Drivers Licence.
  • Positive “can do” attitude.
  • Access to reliable transport, the best within 10 miles. The client’s site is accessible via car, public transport, walking, or cycling.
