Job Description

Our client are a Bristol based company (near the junction of the M4 and M32 so commutable from Keynsham , Bath , Chippenham as well as Bristol) and market leaders in providing regulatory support for firms across the UK in the retail automotive and travel sectors. With a unique mix of sector specialists, a high-level former regulator on their Board and a dedicated team of IT developers with a passion for innovation, they are a company that are growing .They want to stay ahead of their competitors by being at the forefront of technical innovation and providing a great user experience.Currently people are working remotely and moving forward will be a mix of office and home based . Start salary is c£40,000 negotiable depending on experience and suitability .Job PurposeThe Project Manager position is permanent and full-time, the successful candidate will report into the COO and will work in collaboration with both the IT team and Operational teams to deliver a range of projects and key transformation programmes for the business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow a standard project management process as defined by a professional project management organisation.
  • Support the development of a project management toolkit and ensure that it is routinely used.
  • Define the project scope, objectives, and budget involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing their expectations to ensure the business objectives are being delivered.
  • Develop a detailed project plan which can be used to monitor and track progress.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Plan, arrange and manage the administration of meetings and workshops for all projects, including the recording of outcomes and production of minutes in-line with company standards.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Analyse, interpret, and provide insights on the progress of projects through consistent and accurate reporting regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders/resources (internal & external) involved in the project(s) are held accountable for meeting the project specification and associated deadlines.
  • Support and manage routine project and programme health checks and audits.
  • Ensure continuous improvement opportunities are identified within projects and programmes and that these are considered and shared with all of those involved in the project as best practice where appropriate.
  • What do I need to succeed
  • Experience within a Project Management role within a small but growing business.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies gained across a diverse range of departments with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to the outline scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead projects.
  • Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet timelines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and widely recognised Project Plan software.
  • Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Educated to a degree level, or equivalent experience.
  • A relevant project management qualification such as PMP, Prince 2, Agile.
  • Experience of seeing projects through the full life cycle.
