Job Description

Our prestigious client based in Ely is recruiting for a an exciting new role! The successful candidate will generate new business and lead qualification and solution development.The role will involve frequent communication with customers re specifications, pricing, product availability and services, contract negotiation and coordination of design.This is predominantly a inside sales role , where in the majority of the time you will be interacting with customers via Email or phone.Key duties

  • Taking new opportunities and engaging with customers to qualify their requirements
  • Developing the opportunity and coordinating with internal teams to provide a solution. E.g. Engineering teams, production groups, quality teams etc
  • Working with the customer service team in creating quotations and then conducting the follow-ups to see if the customer has feedback
  • Attending customer meetings
  • Periodically attending or perhaps hosting training to the rest of the team on new developments
  • Developing business and relationships, new product launches, tradeshows/ conferences etc
This role is more of a technical focused role rather than hard salesEssential Requirements:
  • Degree in Physics, optics, chemistry, engineering or comparable
  • Experience of either optical set ups, laboratory environments or photonics equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English with German language being a positive
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Presenting skills
