Supplier Quality Engineer, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, Engineering,COR5497The RoleThis is an excellent Supplier Quality Engineerrole, working for a company with a growing reputation in their field. The Supplier Quality Engineer will use prior experience of vendor management, a sound understanding of the manufacturing space and a stronggrasp of Lean manufacturingin-order to ensure a streamlined and organised supplier management process, ensuring the elimination of waste, emphasising defect prevention & reduction of component variation.The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will be based-in the Cambridgeoffice and will be required to travel UK-wide, with some (though minimal) non-UK travel; therefore a full driving licence is needed.The CompanyThe Supplier Quality Engineer will join a global organisation within the scientific manufacturing industry who are dominating their field. They are experts in the design and manufacture of a range of innovativeproducts, used in the application of a range ofmanufacturing and research activities! What’s RequiredThe Ideal candidate for the role will have some of the following:
  • A relevant degree within Process, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering with some prior relevant commercial experience
  • Experience of supplier
  • & vendor quality management, as well as the ability to understand and communicate requirements from high-precision engineering drawings
  • Prior knowledge of Lean Manufacturing as well as ISO 9001 - Any knowledge of ISO14001 would be highly advantageous
  • A full - clean UK driving licence will be required for the successful candidate
