Job Description

We are currently working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business who due to growth are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Operator to join their team, the role is very much a hands on position and you will be responsible for running a Laser Cutting Machine, feeding the brake press and drilling machinery. Training & development will be provided to operate a wide range of precision industrial machinery.Start Date: ASAPLocation: Ely, CambridgeshireHours: Monday to Thursday 14:25-25:55 with 30 minutes lunch break, Friday 12:55-19:55Salary: £NegotiableDuration: PermanentBenefits: Pension scheme, Group life cover, Private Health care, Income protection + moreDuties:

  • Running manufacturing machinery including a Trumpf Trulaser 3030, AMADA Press Brake and Drilling machinery
  • Working within a manufacturing team to achieve manufacturing targets
  • Ensuring high levels of quality output and recording and taking technical measurements and readings
  • Communicate product status accurately via control systems and paperwork
  • Support and drive problem solving and quality/performance improvement
  • Demonstrate a willingness to support Team Leaders in the development and implementation of workplace programs, including but not limited to cross-training and machine maintenance programmes
    • Skills and Experience Required:
  • A hands on approach with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and practical skills
  • Experience interpreting and following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to solve problems quickly
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
