Job Description

Our client is a leading Heavy Industry company working in fields such as Mining/Bulk Materials/Fuels and Industrial logistics technology.We are currently seeking a relevantly Experienced Project Manager for a permanent position.This is a highly interesting role and requires the following experiences and duties.As a Project Manager you need to have a firm grasp of project management but also a set of business, marketing and leadership skills.You will be working directly with the design engineering team based in the UK and Europe to report and expedite projects; ensuring they are on time, on budget and in line with customer expectation. You must be able to read drawings, have a sound engineeringbackground as well as robust project management qualifications and skills.Travel is integral to this role.Key Duties

  • Collecting, collating and presenting project data in a clear way for communication to stakeholders at all levels
  • Participate with the proposals and sales teams in with the preparing the quotes
  • Organising regular project and team meetings: Focussing design team on program milestones and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right cross-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues.
  • Capturing and communicating meeting notes and actions and following up on action items with responsible owners
  • Tracking & communicating project schedules and milestones
  • Participating in technical discussions, asking probing questions, and working with the team to pull together scoping, schedules, and solutions to issues.
  • Driving after project learning and improvement over time
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must be able to read detailed engineering drawings
  • Must have fabrication knowledge
  • Must be able to translate customer requirements into functional design to engineering
  • Must be able to deal with customers and group engineering companies
  • Must be able to understand bulk material handling materials and understand their characteristics
  • Highly experienced professional, with an engineering background and strong project management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and monitor contractor performance within a complex environment
  • Able to work effectively across multiple teams and functions
  • Ability to deliver results, make strong impact with a drive for results
  • High influencing skills, communication, presentation and able to demonstrate capability to foster internal and external relationships.
  • Experience of working with ERP systems is essential. (Baan desirable but not essential)
  • Continuous development of self and individual team members
  • Must be willing to travel to customer sites and international group companies
  • Must have attention to detail
