Role: Project Engineer Location: ElySalary: £40k-£50k Full Time/PermanantBulk materials handling and 3D CAD experience is a must!The successful candidate will be reporting to the Technical Support Manager and become a Product Specialist with the business for the Eco Hopper and Shiploader product range. They will be the interface and support in the first instance to the proposal teamin order to deliver effective solutions for our customers needs and then transitioning into project execution and provide follow-up support to the project management team to ensure the execution phase follows the intended design and specification accuratelyin delivering what was sold by way of a cost effective solution to the end user. They will further oversee all external engineering support providers, ensuring calculations and technical solutions are delivered professionally, accurately and to the correctstandards, and liaise with key suppliers from proposal/costing phase of a project through execution ensuring all Group Guidance Rules are adhered to, and best practice observed to maintain both price and quality.Key responsibilities:

• Product Specialist for the Eco hopper / Shiploader, taking opportunities from proposals through to execution, either personally or managing an external resource to undertake the work and provide the necessary detail in a timely manner.
• Quality Control / Management of internal systems.
• Support all project purchasing activities to ensure effective selection of key components is achieved to maintain the integrity of the overall solution within the given budget.
• Strong understanding of the various bulk materials handling techniques and the ability to meet a clients needs whilst combining these with the existing product range.
• Provide solutions in collaboration with the proposal team to best meet our customer needs, maintaining our competitiveness in the market.
• Provide support to the preparation of documentation phase for all projects.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal whilst demonstrating good interpersonal skills and presence.

• Travel is an integral art of the role, within the UK and internationally.

Key Knowledge & Skills:

• High level of technical competence in the bulk materials handling sector
• Excellent problem solving skills with a display of creative and inventive thought processes
• Multi-discipline engineering experience including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software
• An understanding of the Harmonised Standards / Regulations and the UKCA Marking process
• High level of MS Office and general IT literacy
• Proficient in 3D CAD applications (Preferably Autodesk)
• A good understanding of fabricated support structures and their characteristics.
• High level of competence regarding Quality Management and processes
• Strong Project Management skills
• Desired Qualifications: B.Eng. or M.Eng. in a technical discipline - Mechanical / Electrical Engineering and experience of using Autodesk products including Inventor.
