Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Ely, Cambridgeshire Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 £15 - £18ph + Bonus + Overtime We are looking for a motivated Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.You will be involved in all aspects of planned, reactive and total preventative maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets. The position will appealto a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.Role Description

  • Diagnose and fix problems with manufacturing machines and mechanical parts
  • Work with machine operatives for machine set ups and change overs
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly machine servicing
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
  • Test and inspect electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of systems
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interest of the company
  • Carry out other reasonable requests made by the line manager to support departmental or company objectives
  • Ensure compliance with the Companys policies including Health & Safety are complied with
  • Observe and comply with all good working practices.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Appropriate City & Guilds and/or NVQ Level 3 Qualification
  • Knowledge of Motors, Gearboxes and Hydraulic systems (fully Conversant)
  • Exposure to PLCs (Preferably Schneider) - Not essential but preferred
  • Must have logical approach to fault finding (I/O signal fault finding skills)
  • Previous experience from an industrial Engineering environment (heavy plant equipment)
  • Previous experience in a bespoke manufacturing environment
  • Able to read hydraulic drawings
  • Basic knowledge of oil monitoring systems
  • Comfortable in a re-active and PPM environment
