Information Analyst – Cancer Datasets£190 per dayRemote with the odd site visit to CambridgeshireThe focus of this role will be to work collaboratively within a wider Informatics Team to support the provision of statistics and project development across the cancer pathway including: earlier diagnosis, operational performance, inequalities, treatments andoutcomes.Skills and experience required• Essential:o Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointo Good analytical skills with an eye for detailo Experience with using and analysing NHS datasetso Postgraduate qualification in a data-related subject or working experience in an analytical/BI role• Desirable:o Experience using Cancer Waiting Times data and other cancer-related datasetso Familiarity with cancer terminology and pathwayso Statistical expertise on statistical significance and relationship testingo Experience with data forecastingo Experience with SQL and TableauRole and associated tasks• Develop a cancer scorecard with benchmarking, statistical significance tests and trend summary.• Undertake new analysis, for example, related to cancer staging, routes to diagnosis, preventable cancers, incidence projections and an early warning system for outliers.• Update existing Excel data dashboards and cancer-related datasets.• Produce and check PowerPoint slides with insights about the trends and variation within the data.• Provide support to stakeholders about health and cancer-related statistics.• Share suggestions to improve the team’s existing products using automation, benchmarking, age-standardisation, significance testing, forecasting etc
