East Cambridgeshire District Council have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Support Team Leader to join the team.Location: Ely, East CambridgeshireSalary: £30,451 to £35,745 per annum, plus benefits packageICT Support Team LeaderThe Role:In this role you will manage and lead the Support Team. You will effectively manage a team of people, and will be responsible for their annual performance appraisals, as well as offer support and guidance on their daily workload to keep the morale, effectivenessand efficiency of the team to the highest standards.Together with the ICT System Admin/Network Team Leader you will provide an efficient service, aiming to continuously improve the ICT Service.Alongside this you will ensure the Help Desk is operated efficiently and delivers excellent Customer Service within agreed service level agreements. You will manage projects to provide support to the Councils software and hardware ICT requirements and ensurethe Councils corporate applications are developed and maintained appropriately.You will assist the ICT Manager with the relevant Budgets, including procurement and tendering.ICT Support Team LeaderOther Responsibilities:- Providing an efficient Street Naming and Numbering Service- Updating the NLPG Hub as required- Maintain, Support, and update the corporate GIS system- Ensure all redundant ICT equipment is disposed of complying with the WEEE directive and ICO recommended practices- Manage the Councils ICT Helpdesk- Provide statistics and reports relating to the ICT Helpdesk.- Oversee purchasing of all ICT related hardware, software, licences and consumables ensuring best value for the Council is achieved- Be responsible for the Telephone System and standalone lines- Support Council issued mobile phonesICT Support Team LeaderYou:- You will demonstrate effective leadership and management skills- Have experience of managing budgets- Be familiar with the tendering and procurement processes- Communication skills are required to explain technical issues to non-technical staff- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a customer facing role- Hold a recognised qualification to degree level in a technical field relevant to the post- Good understanding of the VOIP Telephone systems and knowledge of Street Naming and Numbering legislation- The ability to work under pressure and understand effective customer care- The ability to lead on projects with minimal supervision- The successful candidate will have good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Closing date for completed applications is 4th July 2021Interviews will be held on 14th July 2021.To complete your application for this ICT Support Team Leader opportunity, please click Apply now to be redirected to our website.Please note that only candidates short listed for interview will be contacted by the HR.
