HSE Recruitment are working with a Global manufacturing in Ely, Cambridgeshire who are looking for a strong site HSE Manager in a standalone position. You will have full ownership for safety and manage the site HSE plan and objectives. It is a key site for the business with a lot of investment projects ongoing. We are looking for someone to ensure that we have the right skills, processes, materials, informationand procedures in place to ensure best in class safety and environmental standards are achieved. You will also be the management representative for HSE management systems as well as the point of contact for external stakeholders such as regulators and insurers.You will report into the GM on site but be part of a wider H&S team and have support from a central function.Vacancy overview:-• Be the site manager for all Health, Safety and Environment requirements and offer proactive/ practical support, solutions and advice• Promote and develop an independent culture where everyone is accountable for HSE• Develop, coach and mentor the workforce to ensure understanding, competence and compliance of HSE• Able to liaise with relevant stakeholders, sites within the wider group, insurers and external regulatory bodies• Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses and property damage are appropriately reported and investigated whilst encouraging the management team to continually improve safety targets.• Ensure that the site is compliant with all current legislative requirements and is future fit• Encourage the innovation of new processes and procedures to ensure continued development of on-site safety programmes.• Manage and support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards• Support the senior leadership team in developing the annual HSE plan and implement on site• Manage the internal and external audit schedule for the siteEssential experience, personality traits and qualifications:-• Manufacturing experience• NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum requirement• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001• Project management/ Capex project experience• Proven to support and improve cultural and behavioural change• Able to influence, gain buy -in with strong communication skills• Strong coach and mentor• Self-motivated and engaging• Hands on and practical approach• Adaptive thinkerInterested Apply now for immediate consideration // Alternatively, if you know of anyone who may be interested in this opportunity, please forward on our details.
