Job Description

Working within a global organisation that processes raw and fresh ingredients, we are seeking a Demand Planning Manager to join the team. This role is working closely with the Head of Process to analyse and coordinate forecasts on internal departments such as procurement and sales. You will be commercially and financially aware with a passion for making improvements for customer satisfaction.Start: ASAPLocation: Remote working (1 day per week in Ely, Cambridgeshire office in the future when guidelines allow)Hours: 9am - 17.30pm Monday - FridaySalary: £CompetitiveBenefits: Life insurance, pension, 22 days holiday (rising to 25 days over 3 years) + 8 bank holidays and Up to 10% of your salary in bonus paid annually.To be suitable for this role you will ideally have industry experience of working within the food industry within a large organisation. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with a keen interest in improving the supply and demand.Duties will include:

  • Responsible for the process of demand planning
  • Coordinating all forecasts associated with customer and products by working closely with internal teams
  • Developing effective forecasting methods based on business trends and improving demand forecasts
  • Analysing the effectiveness of the current inventory strategy stocking policies, making recommendations for improvements
  • Working with the procurement and supply chain team to ensure best use of the forecast when making purchasing, supply and allocation decisions
  • Supporting the analysis and tracking of budgets Vs demand
  • Using data to influence key business decisions
  • Maintaining inventory levels and targets
  • Performing ongoing analysis on demand variability, identifying risks and taking action as required
  • Evaluating events that may impact the supply chain and managing them accordingly
  • Contributing towards ongoing developments of internal processes, departmental KPIs and supporting staff with getting tasks complete as and when required
  • Key skills and attributes required:
  • MUST have experience of being within a similar role
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain
  • Experience of forecasting, analysis and S&OP
  • Keen interest in market dynamics
  • Commercial awareness

  • Confident in presenting data
