Job Description

Composite Paint SprayerPermanentMondayThursday 7:30am3:30pm, Friday 7:30am12:30pmLoughboroughOur client is a large, well-respected business focused on design and manufacturer of complex products in the aviation sector. They are looking for a composite paint sprayer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role including pre-paint preparation and preferably within aerospace.   • Surface preparation, masking, application of paints by brush and air spray techniques and drying procedures. These techniques will be utilised on military anti ice and civil radomes requiring spraying on internal and external surfaces.
  • Able to read/interpret Engineering drawings, process specifications and work instructions.
  • Surface Preparationprepare component surfaces using Vapour blasters, Orbital sanders and manual sanding techniques.
  • To effectively Mask components prior to paint application using masking tapes and paper.
  • Paint mixingto mix paint by volume and viscosity to approved documentation and specifications.
  • Equipmentcompetent in setting/adjusting spray guns to required settings and to maintain spray equipment in a good, clean condition.
  • Paint applicationto apply paint by brush and spray techniques to process documentation and specifications.
  • Dryingto record and oven stove component after paint application in accordance with process documentation and specifications.
  • Be responsible for QA process control of operations undertaken.
  • Work to and comply with HS&E requirements.
  • To train others following certification.
