Job Title: Children Support WorkerLocation: ElyAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs Do you have a heart for supporting young boys in their educational and personal development journey If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our teamas a Children Support Worker at our All Boys Special Needs School in Ely.About School: Boys from 5-16 years who have an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP) for social, emotional and mental health needs.Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and group support to children with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.- Support students with personal care and hygiene tasks, promoting independence and dignity.- Implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with teaching staff to support positive behavior.- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive and cohesive school community.- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, adhering to school policies and procedures.Requirements:- Right To Work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided)(Candidates on Skilled Worker Visa are not eligible for this position) - Previous experience working with children or young people with special needs.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and colleagues.- Patience, empathy, and resilience to support children with diverse needs and challenges.- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development as required.If this role looks interesting, Kindly apply to the advert with your updated CV.
