Job Description

Currently looking to hire an Assembly Production Manager to join our client at their site in Ely. The role will be responsible for managing product build and assembly, planning production schedules, leading, managing and motivating teams.Client DetailsOur client are a leader in their field, they are a unique manufacturing site that are expanding rapidly with a huge amount of investment planned for the future.DescriptionThe role will be responsible for:

  • Objectives focused on safety, quality, OTIF, productivity, cost performance, and exceeding customer
  • Working with a large number of colleagues involved in the manufacturing process and overseeing the final stages of production, so great organisation and people management skills are going to be keys to your success in the role.
  • Regularly interacting with a number of other managers on site, including the Finishing Manager and General Manager, so that you can align on priorities and tackle issues in the most efficient manner.
  • Managing a number of processes to ensure strong quality control measures are in place at all times.
  • Developing the team and identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, whilst also gaining an insight into cost control.
  • Managing the planning and effectively running a fast-paced function to improve the companies offering with minimal financial disruption.
ProfileApplicants should be:
  • Excellent communicators with the ability to effectively work with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong people managers, with excellent leadership skills.
  • Able to oversee quality control and manage processes efficiently.
  • Knowledgeable on planning, with the ability to prioritise production effectively to meet delivery schedules.
  • Experienced in a fast paced FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to offer flexibility to be available on some Saturdays during peak period.
