Job Description

Young Peoples Advisor (Leaving Care) **We are working in partnership with a Local Authority based in the Ellesmere Port area who are lookingto appoint aYoung Peoples Advisorto work within theLeaving Care Service.3-6 Month agency contractwith a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.Location – Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BE.(It would be beneficial if the candidate lives within a reasonable distance from Ellesmere Port, as whilst we work in a hybrid model, there is an expectation of regular working from our office bases)Rate of Pay - £14 - £18 per hour.(Negotiable depending on experience)Job Purpose;

  • The role is to provide ongoing support, advice and guidance to promote the capacity of each young person to develop the skills necessary to live independently.
  • Enhance the ability for all young people leaving care, enabling them to realise their full potential and become successful in all aspects of their lives.
  • Provide a targeted, outcome focussed service to children and young people who are legally defined as a care leaver and therefore entitled to services.
  • Offer supervision and manage caseloads, working alongside a team of experienced young peoples advisors, social workers and team manager.
Experinece Needed:
  • Personal Advisor / Leaving Care Support
  • Local Authority / Public Sector experience.
