Due to an internal promotion, a supplier of specialist architectural goods to the building and construction industry is looking for a Trainee Estimator to join its team. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. If you have a willing attitude and the ability to crunch numbers this will be a great career opportunity for you.As the Trainee Estimator your responsibilities will include:- Assisting in the estimating department of the company including using Sage 50 for preparing all tender quotes and helping with live quotes.- Inputting quotes on to the CRM system.- Preparing schedules on the scheduling system.- Responding to customer requests for additional information.- Arranging samples and data sheets for customers.We are keen to speak to people about this Trainee Estimator role with the following skills and experience:- A good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.- Confident, courteous, and engaging on the telephone as well as being confident composing well-written emails and letters.- Have a high attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.- Full and valid driving licence is essential.- This role will suit someone with strong mathematical skills, who may have worked previously in an estimator’s office, accountancy, buying or procurement team.You will be joining an expanding family business based in Ellesmere Port, who specialise in supplying ironmongery to the construction industry.
