Job Description

Retail Stores Manager£40,000 basic salary plus performance bonusEllesmere PortMonday to Friday 8am to 4pmPermanentA leading manufacturer in Ellesmere Port are seeking a Retail Stores Manager to join the team due to an internal promotion. This is a standalone role where the Manager will be responsible for day to day engagement with trade customers mostly face to face butwith some phone work with lapsed customers. On offer is a basic salary of £40,000. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.The main duties of a Retail Stores Manager are:

  • Manage the day to day operation of the stores to ensure sales and profit targets are achieved.
  • Provide an excellent service to all customers of the store.
  • Identify additional opportunities with customers - maximising growth and sales.
  • Managing stock levels.
  • Opening new customer accounts.
  • Keeping in regular contact with lapsed customers.
  • Managing store costs and spend.
  • Promote onsite health and safety.
  • On occasions, you may be required to support the industrial team with general warehousing duties with some heavy lifting.

  • You will have face to face service experience and strong negotiating skills
  • You must come from an engineering, manufacturing or industrial background
  • Ideally, you will also have an FLT licence but training will be provided if not
  • Be able to work independently and alone in the store
