Job Description

My client is recruiting for an exceptional Production Operative to join their team, and this is reflected in the salary on offer for this position.Key requirements and experience:

  • An understanding of machine settings, product specifications and quality checks in a manufacturing process
  • An understanding of First Off product quality checks and how often they are performed and where to record
  • Able to explain and demonstrate the effective use of the 3 critical AM systems: Tagging, CIL and Centrelines
  • Undergone Step 4 AM - technical training - and applies the knowledge to their equipment through CILs Standards (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate)
  • Able to articulate and demonstrate the understanding of OEE losses
  • Understands and has been involved in plant Kaizen Activities (Root Cause Analysis, single point or 6 Step Kaizens)
  • Understands line yield and scrap
  • Able to lead cost reduction improvement initiatives for the area
  • Understands and manages 5S adherence in their area
  • Able to identify and inform the management team of quality and maintenance issues when they arise
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • A team player, who can follow instructions and work accurately, quickly and methodically.
Working 4 x 11 hour shifts each week (Monday - Friday), you’ll have a day off in the week. You will have achieved NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and will have strong experience working within a fast paced environment. You will understand and role model safe behavioursat all time,Key priorities for my client moving forward are quality, customer satisfaction and delivery. All production operatives are involved in the setting, maintenance and cleaning of their machines to ensure minimal down time.Great opportunity for an ambitious Production Operative to progress within the role.
