Job Description

Motor Vehicle Technician - Classroom Assistant (Part-time)

  • Reports to: Assistant Director
  • Location: Ellesmere Port
  • Salary: up to £23,500 full time equivalent (this will be pro-ratad)
  • Type: Part-time, 18.5 hours a week
Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Ellesmere Port.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest and experience within Motor Vehicle. Main Duties
  • To help prepare sessions, workshop equipment and materials within the Motor Vehicle curriculum area
  • To provide technical support within the Motor Vehicle department
  • To help develop and construct activities for use in practical sessions
  • Assist in practical classes, carrying out demonstrations and trialing practical activities
  • Maintain materials and equipment in the area
  • Help carry out risk assessments for technical activities
Requirements
  • Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) in relevant discipline
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) Maths and English
  • IOSH qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
  • Valid first aid certificate or willingness to work towards
  • Proven experience of working in a Motor Vehicle environment
