Job Description

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will Lead a small team of UK- and US-based infrastructure engineers and help develop and monitor team KPIs to ensure effective operations, providing technical leadership over IT infrastructure operations, ensuring that agreedservice levels are met and all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to partner with a Global Manufacturing Business.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of UK- and US-based infrastructure engineers and help develop and monitor team KPIs to ensure effective operations.
  • Handle escalations from Service Delivery team and manage requests for infrastructure support from the business and other teams within IT.
  • Provide technical leadership over IT infrastructure operations, ensuring that agreed service levels are met and all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Use communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues, escalating to infrastructure management as appropriate
  • Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed and resolved in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
  • Work with project manager, service delivery team & infrastructure management to develop a process for effective transition of infrastructure projects in to infrastructure support.
  • Responsibility for infrastructure performance & outage monitoring, patching and operation of some SOX controls.
  • Continuous improvements: Investigate and manage the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services.
  • Contribute to the management of change to the service infrastructure including service assets, configuration items and associated documentation.
  • Demonstrate broad understanding of all IOSP infrastructure and systems supported by the infrastructure team in order to provide effective support to colleagues in all areas of IT infrastructure, security and ERP.
ProfileKey Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of Windows Server and Active Directory (2012/2016/2019)
  • Experience of M365 support (Identity Management, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive)
  • Experience supporting Azure environments
  • Knowledge of supporting AWS Cloud environments
  • Solid knowledge of MPLS/SDWAN and networking
  • Good problem solver
  • Leadership qualities
  • Be customer focused
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, MCSA
Job OfferSalary - £55,000 - £60,000
