Stopford have an exciting opportunity for a Lead EC&I Engineer – Projects to join the Projects Group of Stopford. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary. With a worldwide clientele in emerging and existing industries, we provide a full range of project management and engineer services from concept to full EPCC.You will receive the following benefits:- Competitive Salary- Pension- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays- Private medical insurance- Employee assistance program- On-site parkingAbout the Lead EC&I Engineer – Projects role:Reporting to the Projects Group Lead the successful candidate will be responsible for production and/or approval of EC&I deliverables including Specifications and Scopes of Work for installation contractors and equipment suppliers, design work packages including:- Control Architecture Diagrams, Instrument Loop diagrams, Motor Schematics, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable Routing/Layouts, Instrument and Electrical Schedules, Lighting Specifications & layouts, MCC Design Specifications & MCC/Control room layouts.Key responsibilities of our Lead EC&I Engineer - Projects:- Ensuring the E, C&I Deliverables produced by the Projects Group are to the correct quality, standard and budget- Carry our and input to Design Reviews and Risk Assessments- Support the Projects Group Lead in reviewing and developing strategic planning and proposing new business opportunities- Assist the Projects Group Lead in the management, assurance, motivation, and development of a team of EC&I engineers to enable them to take on responsibility and reach their potential- Proactively engage with customers internally and externally, developing and maintaining strong, positive business relationshipsOur Lead EC&I Engineer – Projects will have the following skills and experience:- Ideally educated to a degree level and a Chartered Engineer- Have significant experience in the petrochemicals and renewable energy industries- Have significant experience of working in a design and engineering environment across electrical, control and instrumentation- Have experience of Functional Safety design and testing (TUV FS Engineer Certification preferred)- Experienced in the use of AMTECH or ETAP engineering and design software- Experienced in safety systems design and validation (BS EN 61508 & BS EN 61511)- In-depth knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX, hazardous area classification equipment/design and CompEx requirements- Able to perform accurate design calculations and complete cost estimates- Ideally have an awareness of High Voltage design and engineering- An ability to think strategically and develop long range plans, understanding the implication of changes to contract scope- An ability to work collaboratively with all engineering design and construction disciplines- Experience of managing and building a team of engineers and designers- Knowledge and Experience of Designer and Principal Designer Roles under CDMWith support, variety and opportunities, Stopford Energy and Environment is the ideal place to build your skills and career.If you would like to join our team as our Lead EC&I Engineer - Projects, then why not click ‘apply’ today – we’d love to hear from you!Please note we do not accept applications from agencies, and you must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
