You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and you will receive a competitive salary. We provide expert consulting to our partners, supporting them in their drive toward a sustainable low carbon economy.You will receive the following benefits:- Competitive Salary- Pension- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays- Private medical insurance- Employee assistance program- On-site parkingAbout the role:The role will involve preparation of Specifications and Scopes of Work for installation contractors and equipment suppliers, delivering electrical design work packages including:- Instrument Loop diagrams, Motor Schematics, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable Routing/Layouts, Instrument and Electrical Schedules, Lighting Specifications & layouts, MCC Design Specifications & MCC/Control room layouts. Onsite construction and commissioning support may be required depending on the project.The successful candidate will support the Lead Consultant in the development of Stopford Functional Safety services, involving SIS Design, Verification, Validation and Functional Safety Assessments.Key responsibilities of our Lead EC&I Engineer:- Support the Lead EC&I Consultant in reviewing and developing strategic planning, and proposing new business opportunities- Assist the Lead EC&I Consultant in the management, motivation and development of a team of engineers to enable them to take on responsibility and reach their potential- Proactively engage with customers internally and externally, developing and maintaining strong, positive business relationships- Working towards the main support role to the Lead EC&I ConsultantOur Lead EC&I Engineer will have the following skills and experience:- Ideally educated to a degree level.- Have significant experience in the petrochemicals and renewable energy industries.- Have significant experience of working in a design and engineering environment across electrical, control and instrumentation.- Have experience of Functional Safety design and testing (TUV FS Engineer Certification preferred).- Experienced in the use of AMTECH or ETAP engineering and design software.- Experienced in safety systems design and validation (BS EN 61508 & BS EN 61511).- In-depth knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX, hazardous area classification equipment/design and CompEx requirements.- Able to perform accurate design calculations and complete cost estimates.- Ideally have an awareness of High Voltage design and engineering.- An ability to think strategically and develop long range plans, understanding the implication of changes to contract scope.- An ability to work collaboratively with all engineering design and construction disciplines.With support, variety and opportunities, Stopford Energy and Environment is the ideal place to build your skills and career.If you would like to join our team as our Lead EC&I Engineer, then why not click ‘apply’ today – we’d love to hear from you!Please note we do not accept applications from agencies, and you must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
