Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Days£42,000-£45,000 Per Annum + Excellent Benefits Ellesmere Portgap technical are proud to be representing a Market Leading manufacturing business in their search for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Ellesmere PortPerformance Objectives

  • Electrical maintenance of production equipment to minimise down time.
  • Carry out all electrical activities within the plant in a smooth, safe and sufficient manner.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures within the department.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate and troubleshoot problems.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing equipment, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
  • To liaise with other departments on a regular basis to help minimise downtime.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment to minimise production down time and to identify and rectify all electrical problems on all machines and process equipment within the plant.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Person Specification
  • Time served electrical engineering technician - Level 3 / ONC / City & Guilds qualified.
  • HNC/HND Desirable
  • 18th Edition wiring regs
  • HV experience - Desirable
  • Experience working on gas burner systems.
  • Experience using SAP - Desirable
  • CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) experience
  • Strong knowledge of complex electrical systems, including ones involving PLCs, Servo motors, and VFDs
  • Experience with industrial networks, such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, Asi bus and Modbus
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills.
