I am urgently recruiting on behalf of a reputable and dynamic client based in Ellesmere Port for a Customer Clearance Clark to start immediately. The main purpose of the role is ensure the business complies with all required documentation required for customs formalities and complete customs entries. Key responsibilities include:-Experience 0n importing with both customs and tariff procedures-Responsible to identify what documentation is required on a product specific basis via tariff code identification-Preparation of customs entries to ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are metPreparation of other trade documentation and forms required for certain products by authorities such as IPAFFS & Health certification for animal based products such as egg, gelatineLiaising with importers/exporters and others to obtain mandatory information for import and export entriesPass data onto our nominated customs clearance agent-Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently relating to customs procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates and any other documentation requirements-Keep up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures-Liaise with Port Health and Customs officials on document checks in combination with our customs clearance agent. Key skills:-Previous customs clearance experience required within the food industry-A sound knowledge of the import/export process-Experience of using customs software preferable-Excellent administration skills-Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach-Strong communication skills essential both written and verbal-Positive can do attitude and willingness to learn-Understanding of tariff codes and their impact as a consequence of preferential origin.For more information - please contact Megan Hughes on /
