Job Description

Accountant: £40K to £45K in Ellesmere Port. Please note this is fully office based Monday to Friday. Its a great role for an Accountant (ideally ACA, ACCA or equivalent) who enjoys working on multi country ledgers and wants a varied role looking after ledgersacross Europe. The firm uses English as its common language, so youll be able to communicate easily with the teams across Europe.As Accountant (ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent), youll be managing the financial accounting and reporting process, including reporting and fiscal, statutory and legal regulations. Youll also be supporting the Group Financial Controller on all accountingand financial issues and performing special investigations.

  • Manage and lead the Accounting Team across Europe as well as managing the accounting & reporting process
  • Execute and manage accounting and reporting
  • Monitor intercompany invoicing processes
  • Support and advise on financial and accounting matters in the UK and across Europe
  • Deliver consistent and accurate financial reporting
  • Determine and implement best proven Finance/Accounting and internal control practices
  • Liaise with the auditors
  • Set up and monitor internal controls within the accounting and reporting processes
  • Ensure complete and accurate month end closing
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Booking & justification of monthly accruals and prepaid amounts
  • Set up and maintain the cost centre structure and reporting
  • Monthly review and analysis of general ledger and cost centres
  • Execute the AP cycle for the group firms
  • Act as Credit Controller within the local Credit department
  • Prepare the monthly VAT, INTRASTAT, mandatory and internal tax reporting
  • Set up & maintain an audit trail, including balance sheet and fiscal documentation
  • Optimise the design and implementation of the SAP B1 processes
  • Experience as an Accountant - Ideally ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
