Job Description

Reed is pleased to be supporting a thriving business who are looking for a HR/Payroll Officer to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting new opportunity for someone who wants to work for a business who are compassionate about their employees and can offer a long term and stable career.What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Set up and maintain employee files and ensure all information is received
  • Provide administrative support in the planned centralisation of employee records
  • Provide administrative support for the issuing and updating of employment contracts across the Group
  • Ensure high level of data accuracy
  • Liaise with staff to ensure missing information is obtained if not within any current HR records
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Monthly processing of a number of the Group Company payroll
  • Dealing with starers & leavers. Dealing with SSP, SMP, SPP etc
  • Liaising with Management regarding the provision of payroll information
  • Making payments to HMRC, pension etc. Collating payroll information for the Finance team in excel.
About you:
  • A background in HR to answer some basic queries
  • Experience of using Sage payroll and dealing with HMRC
  • An eye for detail and be able to review data to spot errors or anomalies
  • Ability to communicate effectively and partner with Senior Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - specifically Excel
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation, with a proactive approach to all tasks
