Job Description

Health & Safety Manager Location: EllandSalary: £37,500 + Company BenefitsHours: Monday to Friday Days - 8.30am to 5pmOC12569We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager for our clients company, covering the Elland area. This opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager is with a well-established company with an excellent opportunity to grow.Role:

  • Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence required standards and legislation.
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety awareness through the group.
  • To oversee consistency of delivery of health and safety and identify and pursue significant issues.
  • Work with HR to develop an appropriate supporting workplace wellbeing programme.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide variety of contacts.
  • Review, control, develop and distribute Risk Assessments for individual roles, tasks, including: manual handling, DSE requirements, loan working, COSHH etc
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, responding to business needs.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and provide authoritative advice on health and safety and risk management issues.
  • Knowledge of workplace wellbeing initiatives and how they add value to an organisation.
  • Good working knowledge of sustainable business issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Requirements:Health and Safety qualification (or working towards) such as:
  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma
  • IOSH
  • BSc/BA in safety management.
  • Previous experience in a H&S position.
